Your True Voice is the missing link in your business success. It is the key distinguishing factor in the business arena. In a sea of look-alikes, your True Voice separates you from the pack, resonates with your Right Audience (your Perfect-Fit Customers), and becomes the fulcrum with which you leverage the world.
"Creators of any kind must find their voice. Our voice is our essence, writ plain for the world to see."
- Leo Babauta
Simply put, you MUST find (and use) your unique voice in the marketplace. As a creative entrepreneur, it is crucial for you to build a business around your distinctive style. Trying to be something you're not is a long, painful, slow death of your spirit (and your business model). Modeling yourself after other successful entrepreneurs has a place, but modeling can only take you so far.
You MUST separate yourself from everyone else in order to have a higher order of success. If being like everyone else were enough, everyone else would be successful, too.
That's what happens when you find your True Voice.
On the surface, there's a big risk inherent in speaking from your True Voice. You are vulnerable, people may not like you, and they may outright reject what you have to offer. On the other hand, when you can confidently speak from your True Voice, doing business becomes easier.
When your message, values and goals are clear, it's easier to make decisions that are in alignment with who you are and what you're up to in the world. It becomes easier to say "no" to the wrong things and "yes" to the right things. It's easier to stay the course when things get tough - or to change course appropriately if it makes sense for your business. Setting and achieving goals becomes more effortless. Plus, you stop worrying about "what everyone else thinks" because you recognize who your best clients are, and focus relentlessly on serving them. And your clients can clearly understand who you are, what you do, and how you can help them - which makes it easier for clients to say yes to your offers and refer you to their colleagues and friends.
"The only way your organization is going to make an impact is to market in the way only you can.... Find your voice, don't copy someone else's."
- Seth Godin
When you can speak from your True Voice, the result is more confidence, more clarity, and more positive cash flow in your business. But there's a big difference between finding your True Voice, and using it. It's not easy to start down this path on your own. I know. I bumped into a lot of walls, read a lot of books, and invested in a lot of programs before I got clarity around my True Voice. It sounds like this:
"Whether I'm on a stage performing or teaching for hundreds, coaching a small group, or working one-on-one with my private clients, everything I do is to encourage you to share your True Voice, so that you can fulfill your Divine Purpose, and so that others will be inspired to take positive, transformative action."
That "Essential Why" is the core of my life and my business. It's the crux of every choice I make, everything I chose to do (or not do), and acts as my compass to guide me toward what really matters to me.
Wouldn't you like that kind of clarity? That's why I created the Find Your True Voice Workshop. I want you to have a high degree of clarity on your Essential Why, on your unique voice in the marketplace. I want you to be able to connect your True Voice to your Right Audience, so that you can build a more profitable, sustainable business, filled with clients you love, who love you right back.
When I started building my online business (several) years ago, I thought I knew what I was doing. After all, I built one of the first-ever e-commerce websites (back in the 1990's), so I had a pretty good idea about how to build a website that actually made money selling stuff.
I had also studied and "modeled" all kinds of how-to information from some of the smartest online marketers and business builders in the history of the Internet. I had my shiny new facebook account, my twitter profile, a blog, and a litany of tools in my virtual tool belt to build my multi-million dollar empire......except that the millions didn't materialize.
It certainly wasn't because I was stupid (after all, I've got a degree, and my very smart clients tell me I'm pretty smart, too). I mean, I had followed all the best blueprints and applied all the "right" strategies to my business. I was helping my clients make millions of dollars. I knew my stuff, and was doing the work. Logically, it should have been a resounding success.
But it wasn't.
Don't get me wrong, I was doing okay. I was making a name for myself. People were starting to recognize my face in certain online circles. I was developing a profitable business in a solid industry, methodically building my coaching practice... and my healing practice... and building websites... and acting ... and singing... and writing......wait... how do all those pieces fit together?
Now you understand my problem. There are many facets to who I am, and it was challenging for me to put it all under one umbrella - and I didn't want to give up any of them. I love them all, and they are all profitable for me. But how do you tell your business clients about your musical pursuits in a way that makes sense? How do you tell your colleagues in the performing arts about building a profitable business? And how do you explain to any of those folks what your healing practice is all about? How do they refer business to you?
Um, they don't.
There were all these threads that I couldn't figure out how to bring together. And then I realized the big mistake I was making:
Buried somewhere in the carbon copy websites, the cookie-cutter promo emails, and the "cut-'n-paste" business models, I had forgotten who I was, what I was about in the world, and what it meant to bring my true voice to everything I do. There's nothing wrong with modeling the success of others, except that at some point, you have to make it your own.
It's kind of like a great piece of music, or an Academy Award-winning performance. You've got a fantastic product, but you've got to deliver it to the right audience on the right platform. Give the same script to Steve Jobs, Madonna, and Brad Pitt (all skilled performers in their own genre) and only one of them could deliver an Oscar-worthy performance. Only one of them could make it a performance spectacle. Only one of them could turn it into a billion-dollar innovation.
It's not about skill. Of course you have the know-how. You wouldn't be doing the work you do if you weren't good at it. And it's not about your offerings (products and services). At least, not by themselves. It's about taking your skills, knowledge, and offerings, adding your True Voice, and connecting to your Right Audience. That's a recipe for incredible success. And I want you to have it.
Brad Pitt's performances resonate with a certain kind of audience. Madonna's music appeals to a specific crowd. Steve Jobs may have built a multi-billion dollar company, but he did it for a particular kind of consumer.
If you're ready to stop pulling your hair out, trying to explain your business to potential clients, I invite you to consider...

Normally, I charge (and get) hundreds of dollars per hour for my coaching services. A small, intimate group like this would easily command a $500 price tag - and I reserve the right to raise the price on this course at a later date. However, since this is a new offering, I know that stuff can happen when you're trying something for the first time. Plus, I'm looking for some pretty powerful results from this first group, which means amazing testimonials for the next time we offer this course. I want to make it easy for you to say an enthusiastic "YES!" and get yourself on the path to success rooted in your True Voice.
You can be one of the twelve participants in this program for $300 (in 2 or 3 installments), or you can pay in full today and take $25 off the course registration (one payment of $275). When you think about the potential return on your total investment (time, energy and money), can you see how valuable this program can be for you?
