We try to be responsible about data sharing and privacy. Your payment information is securely handled by Paypal, our third party payment processor. Your contact information is held in the strictest of confidence by MailChimp or ConvertKit (Kit), our third party email service providers. If you are part of a membership community, your information may also be secured by that provider (Heartbeat, Facebook). We don't sell, rent, trade or otherwise share your details outside our company's use, without your knowledge or consent. You have the right to review, revise, or remove said data at any time, within the limits of the law. Just contact us or unsubscribe via the third party provider. We are happy to help.

And now... the legalese...

UPDATED SEPTEMBER 15, 2024

This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from https://www.lisarobbinyoung.com (the “Site”) or any of our collectively held domains that redirect to a page on this site.

DEVICE INFORMATION WE COLLECT

When you browse our websites, we may also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system. We use the Device Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).

When you visit the Site, we may automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device. Additionally, as you browse the Site, we may collect information about the individual web pages or products that you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically-collected information as “Device Information.”

We may collect Device Information using the following technologies:

  • “Cookies” are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier. For more information about cookies, and how to disable cookies, visit allaboutcookies.org.
  • “Log files” track actions occurring on the Site, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.
  • “Web beacons,” “tags,” and “pixels” are electronic files used to record information about how you browse the Site.
  • Email marketing: With your permission, we may send you emails about our company, new products and other updates.

PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT

When you purchase something offline from our company, as part of the buying and selling process, we may collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address.

Additionally when you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (which is processed through PAYPAL or Stripe; we do not have access to your financial account information), email address, and phone number. We refer to this information as “Order Information.”

If you attend an in person, offline event, and have personally given us permission to add you to our mailing list, we may also collect the above data in that way. We do not add your information to our database unless you (or someone impersonating you) gave us permission.

When we talk about “Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Device Information and Order Information.

HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?

We use the Order Information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the Site (including processing your payment information, arranging for shipping, and providing you with invoices and/or order confirmations). Additionally, we may use this Order Information to:
- Communicate with you;
- Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and
- When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.

SHARING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.

However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.

For example, our payment processor is PayPal. Your payment data is stored in Paypal's data storage, databases and the general application, and though they do share personal information that allows us to complete the transaction (email, shipping address, etc.), we have no access to your financial information. PayPal has their own privacy policy, which applies to any transactions conducted through their site. If you are part of our membership community and processed your registration through the heartbeat app, then Stripe is the payment processor for those transactions.

We also use Google Analytics to help us understand how our customers use the Site--you can read more about how Google uses your Personal Information here: https://www.google.com/intl/ en/ policies/ privacy/. You can also opt-out of Google Analytics here: https://tools.google.com/ dlpage/ gaoptout.

For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.

In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located a different jurisdiction than either you or us. So if you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.

As an example, if you are located in Canada and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway located in the United States, then your personal information used in completing that transaction may be subject to disclosure under United States legislation, including the Patriot Act.

Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights, or if you violate our Terms of Service.

Once you leave our website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms of Service.
