I woke up one morning, and was inspired. Overcome with a desire to make pancakes in a way that was entirely new and different for me… I made pancakes with love. I took my time and nurtured the entire process – and they turned out perfectly.

As I mentioned in the video, the inspiration kept coming for days after I filmed this video. It was a blessing too, because I was just about OUT of business when this inspiration came to me.
2011 was not what I would call a stellar year in my business. I spent a good portion of the year (and my income for the year) listening to everyone but myself, and doing things that took me further and further from my truth. I generated revenues, but my profits tanked. That’s not a win to me. Near the end of 2011, I dissolved a business because it couldn’t turn a profit, laid off my assistant of 2+ years, and essentially started over again from scratch. Years of work crumbled in front of my eyes as I watched much of my savings, my business, and my income dwindle to a trickle. Now, most people might not admit to this. But I’m tired of the charades, the games, and the deception we see so often from leaders in the online world. I’ve made the commitment to build a business founded on love, and part of that commitment is being honest about everything in my business.
“When I woke up with the urge to make pancakes from a place of love, making pancakes was the last thing I wanted to do. I wanted to find a way out of my rut, save my business from crumbling around my ears, and return to a place of stability, doing work I enjoy for clients I love – who love me right back.”
Like I said, this inspiration couldn’t have been better timed. In the time since that fateful “pancake morning”, I can hardly believe what’s happened in my business:
- A completely FULL coaching practice, with paying clients I adore (booked solid in less than 30 days!).
- A 300% increase in monthly profits (and hired a part-time VA to manage the growth).
- Significantly shorter “work days” (typically, 3-4 hours per week day), so I can focus on my “genius work” and my “day job” -being a mom to my son in half-day Kindergarten!
- More energy and fewer distractions, because I’m doing what I love, from a place of love, with people I love.
“I believe that when you build a business that is founded in love, you have a more potent connection to your true self, your divine calling, and your perfect-fit customers.“

Introducing: The Pancake Principle
Business, marketing, sales – you’re keenly aware that things are shifting. You hear lots of talk about it, but lately, it seems like there’s more talk around it than actually providing help you can use. That’s because it’s kind of taboo to talk about love in a business setting. Yet, if you want to continue to draw in hungry customers time and again – especially in this tough economic climate – the best way to do that is to show them some real love… and let them love you right back. I’m not talking about hearts and flowers and date night (although that might work, depending on your market). I’m talking about tapping into what really matters to you and sharing it in a way that really matters to your perfect-fit clients. Think about what it would mean for you to create your work from a space of love… serving people that want what you offer… who crave what you offer, because they can’t get enough of you… because they know you get them, and they get you, too! It means starting from a place of love (including loving yourself, valuing yourself, and giving yourself the credit you deserve for the offerings you bring into the world). That’s what The Pancake Principle aims to do for you: to connect you to that place of love, and give you specific steps to turn out perfect pancakes (or whatever your business offers) that your hungry customers devour – and come back for more time and again. It’s worked for me, and I want to help you see that success, too!
Easy-to-Follow, Multi-Media Modules
This e-course combines audio, video, and comprehensive downloadables in an easy-to follow format. Conveniently located in our private “classroom” (an easy to navigate technology I’ve used for more two years), you also have the benefit of interacting with other participants in The Pancake Principle. Here’s a sampling of what we cover in the five modules of The Pancake Principle:
Module One – “What’s Love Got To Do With It?”
- The best busines advice the Beatles could ever give you (and how it made them famous).
- The “38 Special” Rule of Love
- Sonny & Cher’s wisdom on giving your best customers what they really want.
- A special case study from Justin Bieber (yes, you heard me!)
Module Two – Your Pancake Recipe
Your offering (product/service) is like your pancake recipe. A “good” recipe is the minimum standard for doing busines today. Your recipe has to be more than good. It needs to be outstanding. In this module, we’ll cover:
- Two factors that will make your pancake (offer) stand out above the crowd.
- Three criteria your hungriest customers consider before buying your pancakes.
- Two ways to figure out who your hungriest customers are.
- How Ford’s Model T almost became a Yugo (yes, the import car we love to hate!)
Module Three – Picking the Right “Pan”
A great recipe can be for naught if you’re not cooking in the pan that works best for you and your hungry customers. If you’re an upscale boutique kind of pancake chef, it would be foolhardy (and costly) to try to crank out your pancakes on an automated industrial griddle. On the other hand, if you’re all about serving the masses, you’ll be working round the clock to meet demand if you’re cooking on a hotplate with a teeny tiny cast iron skillet. In this module, we’re going to:
- Look at different options for offer (product/service) creation
- Discuss pricing that fits the way you do business – including “controversial” pricing like partnering with charities, sales, “sliding scales”, “pay-what-you-can”, and “application only” options. I’ve tried them all, and will share what I’ve learned.
- Explore creating offers that serve you vs. offers that serve your hungriest clients – you might think this is obvious, but you might be wrong.
- The Kissinger/Apple Effect – This gives you the ability to charge higher rates for your products and services. This concept alone could help you break through your price ceiling and attract better paying clients.
Module Four – Turn Up The Heat (aka Marketing, Baby!)
So you’ve got a great recipe, and you’re almost ready to make these pancakes. Now what? You’ve got to let your hungry customers know that you’ve got what they want. In this module we dig deep into:
- The words to say that make “writing copy” more like reading the minds of your hungriest customers.
- How love-based marketing made my business more profitable and sustainable (with hard data to back it up!)
- How to ethically pre-sell your offering (and know what your hungry customers want) before you waste your time or money.
- The Eagleburger Principle – your reputation (and those of your associates) matters.
Module Five – The Oil And The Spatula (aka Money & Leverage)
- How to make the right tools, systems, and processes serve your business (rather than being a slave to them)
- How to know when it’s time to add more structure to your business (and when you’ve gone too far)
- The Bricklin Lesson – Profits? Principles? How about both? It’s possible, and this lesson shows you more.
Bonus One: Before You Make Pancakes
Before you even start making pancakes, you need to be sure that’s what you want to do. In this module, we’ll figure out:
- What it is you really want to do – is it pancakes, or waffles, or something else?
- What elements might be missing from your recipe? The right recipe makes a big difference.
- How to create space for doing what you love.
Bonus Two: Your Hungry Customers
- Work through the exact process I use with my clients to help them figure out who their perfect-fit client really is.
- Create a strategy to help you find (and attract) more of these hungry customers.
Bonus Three: The Spiritual Side of Success
- Lessons from the greatest salesman of all time: God
- Marketing strategies from Jesus and Buddha (Powerful lessons about love and business!)
- A customizable spiritual practice you can incorporate into your business planning and daily work to increase your effectiveness and help you focus on what really matters most in your life and business.
Case Studies + Interviews + More!
Warning: This program requires effort. My commitment to you is that if you do the work, you’ll see results. If you don’t do the work, well, that’s a different kind of result, I suppose, eh?
