Upcoming Live Event

“The Renaissance Mom Experience” offers balance, support for working mothers.

Flint, MI, April 2, 2010 - More often than not, women feel they must sacrifice their business in order to have a successful family – or sacrifice their family in order to have a successful business. On August 27-29, 2010 at the Holiday Inn Gateway Center, The Renaissance Mom, LLC will show women how they can be successful at both, with a special event featuring speakers and content geared to help working moms and entrepreneurs alike strike a balance between family and business.

“I have worked at building a business as a single mom, and now as a married mom with a special needs kid,” said Lisa Robbin Young, who owns a business mentoring company as well as The Renaissance Mom. “It can be challenging to strike that balance between success, service to others, and feeling fulfilled in any of it. The Renaissance Mom is about being re-born into a role where we can embrace being both a mom and a business owner, without apologizing for any of it.”

Founded in 2010, The Renaissance Mom connects businesswomen to resources, education and social networking. The Renaissance Mom is on a mission to help 10,000 working mothers and “mom-preneurs” bring balance and harmony to their lives. Founder Lisa Robbin Young launched the company in response to a need expressed by clients, friends and colleagues struggling with the pressure and difficult emotions that stem from keeping the demands of life and work at bay and in sync.

“I wish I’d had this kind of support when I was getting started. Most working moms aren’t afraid of hard work, they just need some support and encouragement along the way. This event will be exactly that for hundreds of women who so desperately need it.” Young said.

The event will host an estimated 300 women from across the country. A silent auction will also be held during the event to raise funds for charity.

The Renaissance Mom, LLC, teaches, encourages, and inspires women to show them how they can be the best they can be and bring peace and balance to their otherwise chaotic lives. The event this August will provide tools and resources to make that possible. Additional information, including registration and sponsorship details, can be found on the company website.
