If I had three minutes to tell you the one thing that I think would move your life, your business, forward fastest, it’s this:
Stop believing in impossible. Stop clinging to it.
When what you seek is “dropped in” in your core, all you need to do is take a step. And then the next, and soon, you’re walking, then running toward your destination. Don’t worry about everything along the way. Have enough faith to take the next step. And you’ll get there.
That was the big lesson I took away from Sarah Robinson’s Creating Irresistible Presence workshop. We were all given an opportunity to step onto the “stage” and share for a few minutes. When Sarah sent me the video, it turned out I had given more than my allotted time, so I edited it down to about 3 minutes here.
I am still very much a Super-Hero-In-Training (yeah, the acronym for that is ironic, isn’t it?). It’s not easy figuring out this whole super hero thing. The super-costume. The special abilities. The alter ego and arch nemesis. But I think I’ve got my super power down. And I found it in that exercise.
If you had three minutes to tell the world what you’re all about, what really moves you, what your business, your life, your mission is all about, what would you say and how would you communicate it?
When you get THAT kind of clarity around who you are and what you’re all about as an entrepreneur, you can’t help but be magnetic to the people that matter most. You can’t help but achieve the impossible in your life and your life’s work. No one said it would be easy. In fact, it’ll probably hurt like Hades. But you do it because you must.
I’m grateful to Sarah and the entire #CIP crew for enduring those 6 minutes with me, because I seriously didn’t remember most of it until I saw the video. I believe God was working through me that day, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to share a small bit of that experience with all of you here now.
