Snow Day-O: A Song Just For Fun!

When you’re stuck in the snow with friends, you kinda go stir crazy. After we got dumped on, I started hearing The Banana Boat Song (Day-O) in my head. Except with snow-related lyrics. After a day or two of refining the lyrics, here’s the finished “masterpiece”. Enjoy.

Yes, it’s totally silly. And City of Flint, while I’m grateful you finally DID plow out my road, you could still plow the street without blocking in my car.

    Very creative! I liked it. Could have done without the d**n and sh*t during the opening few seconds, though. I say those words on occasion myself, but I try to avoid doing it in public.

    But let not that moment spoil the whole. It was cleverly written, performed with a certain panache, and I liked it. Reminded me of the Stan Freberg parody of that song. Well done!

      Yes. I grimace when I hear it myself. We were virtually unscripted, it was a one-take wonder, as it were. I didn’t think they were serious about recording the thing until they had he cameras rolling.

      Obviousy, I don’t think fast on my feet. I would not make a good politician. :-)

      Thanks, you guys. Today is actually our first “dumping” for the season, and already the snow is blowing sideways, people are off in ditches, and yes, my car’s been plowed in. Happy holidays!
